Caren Roushkolb, 19, is a senior political science and Spanish major at The University of Akron in Akron, Ohio.  Caren is enthusiastically involved in the campus community, serving as Senate Chair in Associated Student Government, tutoring her peers in subjects ranging from math and biology to political science and Spanish, and actively participating in the National Society for Collegiate Scholars.  She has been recognized multiple times for her academic achievements but still takes time to relax by playing softball, ice skating, reading, and drawing.  Caren almost always has her radio on and enjoys playing violin and electric guitar in her spare time.  After graduate school, Caren hopes to utilize her political science and Spanish skills by obtaining a position in the international arena.
