Kayla Waterhouse

University of Southern Maine

Kayla Waterhouse is a graduate of South Portland High School, who went on to further her educational career at the University of Southern Maine.  She is a Criminology Major, with Minors in Business Administration and Political Science.  She spent the 2007 summer semester in a travel abroad program held by the Criminology Department at the University; the six credit course was named Criminology in Sweden.  In Sweden she attended lectures at the University of Stockholm and toured some of the greatest sites and attractions, her favorite place was Gamla Stan (old town).  During two weeks of the 2008 summer semester she participated in another travel abroad program, this one called Brussels and the European Union, held by the Political Science Department. Through this course she participated in lectures in Belgium and the Netherlands.  After her undergraduate education is complete, she would like to attend graduate school to earn her masters in Criminology.  Kayla aspires to work for the U.S. Government.  She enjoys swimming, skiing, writing, reading, and spending time with friends, and family.
