My name is Lauren Therese Michel. I am from the Westbank of New Orleans, Louisiana.  I attend the Louisiana Scholars' College at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, Louisiana.  I am an active member of the Student Government Association and have served as the Vice President and Speaker of the Senate; Presently, I am serving as their Treasurer.  I am a member of the Alpha Omicron Pi Fraternity as well as various other organizations on campus.  I am currently preparing for the Law School Admissions Test in October and am researching law schools to begin classes in the Fall of 2009.  I am also working on my undergraduate thesis on attitudes toward Equal Pay for Women legislation in the United States and in Great Britain.  I have a wonderful family, friends, sorority sisters, and boyfriend that help me to keep up with my hectic schedule.
