I’m in my third year as a political science major at the University of Illinois in Springfield. Throughout high school and college I’ve done several internships that have increased my interest in politics. As a college freshman I interned for Sen. Dick Durbin’s office in Springfield. It was an enlightening experience and led me to intern in his DC office. Interning in the nation’s capitol was an once-in-a-lifetime experience that really opened my eyes to how politics works on a national level. As an aspiring statesman from Illinois, I look forward to participating in the student congress and meeting students from all over the country.
