Only four years ago Mr. Buchs-Fagundes was beginning his professional dance career after graduating from the School of American Ballet in New York City. After a career ending injury Mr. Buchs-Fagundes relocated to South Florida to pursue his academic passion and a new professional trajectory. Mr. Buchs-Fagundes is a junior at Florida International University majoring in Political Science. He is a member of Pi Sigma Alpha Tau Rho Chapter and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Mr.Buchs-Fagundes, who was nominated by the office of U.S. Senator Bill Nelson of Florida, is honored to be a participant at the inaugural Student Congress of The Henry Clay Center for Statesmanship.
